Anaplan Platform Migrations and Modernization

There is no Anaplan "version" to upgrade. There is a lot to modernize.

Anaplan is a multi-tenant SaaS platform: Anaplan releases new capabilities to every customer continuously, so nobody runs an old version. What does age is the way your models were built. A model designed in 2019 still runs, but it probably uses Classic dashboards, a Data Hub model feeding spoke models through Anaplan Connect scripts, a Hyperblock design wrestling with sparsity, and PlanIQ forecasts that are now a generation behind. Each of those has a modern replacement on the platform today, and moving to it is real project work. That is the work we do.

Classic UX to New UX migration

Anaplan's New UX (pages, boards, worksheets, and apps) is where all new page functionality ships. We inventory every Classic dashboard, map each one to the right New UX page type, rebuild it with a cleaner information design, and roll it out with planner training so adoption is not left to chance. Polaris readiness assessment and engine migration

Anaplan now runs two calculation engines side by side: Hyperblock, the original in-memory engine, and Polaris, built for very large, naturally sparse models. Polaris is not a drop-in switch. Formula behavior, supported functions, and modeling patterns differ, and a model that was heavily engineered around Hyperblock sparsity limits often needs to be simplified, not copied. We run a structured readiness assessment (workload profile, function inventory, dimensional sparsity analysis) and give you a clear answer: stay, migrate, or split. When migration is the answer, we rebuild the model on Polaris, reconcile results against the Hyperblock original, and cut over on your planning calendar.

Data Hub to Data Orchestrator modernization

The Data Hub pattern (a central Anaplan model that stages and cleans data for spoke models) was a workaround for the integration tooling of its era. Anaplan Data Orchestrator now provides prebuilt connectors to systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Snowflake, with transformation and scheduling handled outside your planning models. We assess which Data Hub responsibilities move to Data Orchestrator, which belong in CloudWorks or your warehouse, and what (if anything) should stay in a hub model, then migrate the pipelines without interrupting your load schedule.

PlanIQ to Anaplan Forecaster transition

Anaplan Forecaster, launched in October 2025 as the next generation of PlanIQ, brings an expanded set of machine-learning algorithms, faster training, and explainability designed for business users. We recreate PlanIQ forecast actions in Forecaster, backtest the new output against the old, and retire PlanIQ configurations cleanly. Workspace and model consolidation, tenant moves

Growth leaves a trail: duplicate models, abandoned copies, workspaces organized around projects that ended years ago, and sometimes a second tenant acquired through M&A. We plan and execute consolidation (model merges, Application Lifecycle Management realignment, workspace restructuring) and tenant migrations, including user, role, and integration cutover, with a validated rollback path.
